Hi, everyone. I am being so anxious buts can I please have some of your opinions. will it still be possible to have a CEC draw in September? for now my score will be 435 by that time. will the government be focused more for FSW draw due to opening the borders? thank you.

i have a PR in canada. we are not married yet. and i am not sure i can sponsor him with this status
hi im new here. trying to apply for my fiance to come join me but i seem so lost in all this process. i have read in details the instructions but i don't know where to start from. he got his IELTS results with 7 in all and 6.5 in writing . what are his chances. I'm so confused here and need help
You can apply for spousal sponsorship AFTER you guys are married or if you are in a common-law relationship.

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/application-forms-guides/guide-5289-sponsor-your-spouse-common-law-partner-conjugal-partner-dependent-child-complete-guide.html

Join the discussion in the spousal sponsorship thread after you go through the requirements on the IRCC website.

The other option is for your boyfriend / fiancé to apply via Express Entry. IELTS is NOT the only factor for his Express Entry application. Ask him to go through the this post in addition to the requirements for Express Entry on the IRCC website.

You can only sponsor him once you are married or you are common law. Common law means that you have lived together continuously for at least one full year.

If you want him to instead apply for PR through the Express Entry program based on his own qualifications, then he needs to calculate how many points he has. He needs to score 470+ to have a decent chance of being selected.

It's impossible for anyone here to say what the future will hold.

It's possible a score of 435 through CEC will be enough to get ITA in September and also possible it won't be.

Hi Guys, I have some queries related to express entry.
1) I have completed my Bachelors in 2014 after that I started working, Currently having 5 years of experience, while working also completed my MBA (distance). my question is which firm is best for education qualification and what about my MBA degree is it eligible or not?
2) My first company was closed so how can I show that experience?
3) My second company changed their name is there any impact on my experience?
4) I got rejected form Canada study visa in 2014. What is the impact on my application and should I mention my rejection while applying for Express Entry?

It's all on the CIC site: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/index.asp

But...

(Please note that this info does not apply to the Federal Skilled Trades Program)

1) Determine your eligibility by doing this CIC quiz http://www.cic.gc.ca/ctc-vac/ee-start.asp

2) Get your language test(s) done. You must get at least CLB 7 in each of the four sections for the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW), Provincial Nomination Program (PNP) or Canadian Experience Class (CEC) streams. But getting CLB 10 gives you maximum points for language.

How does CLB match back to the language tests? That info is here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/language/charts.asp

3) Get your qualifications assessed by doing an Education Credential Assessment. Details here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/assessment.asp

4) Determine the code that best applies to you on the National Occupation Classification (NOC) list http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/noc.asp

The occupation must be NOC 0, A, or B for FSW or CEC.

5) When you have those in hand you create your express entry profile. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/profile.asp and register for the Job Bank http://www.jobbank.gc.ca/home-eng.do?lang=eng

You'll be given points based on your age, education, number of years work experience, and language skills. The points system is detailed here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/grid-crs.asp

You'll be in a pool with thousands of other applicants http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/pool.asp

Of course, the more points you have the better. The max is 1200, with 600 of those points coming from your ability to snag a PNP or a job offer with a very hard to get Labour Market Impact Assessment http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/employers/lmo-basics.asp

For CEC applicants, the max is 600 but someone who has no work experience in Canada who is only eligible for FSW can only get up to 520 points.

6) Finally, wait for your invitation to apply (ITA). But in the interim you will need to do the following:

a) Have your application fee (C$550 each for principal applicant and spouse) and right of permanent resident fee (C$490 each for principal applicant and spouse) ready
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/fees.asp

b) Identify how you will provide proof of funds http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp

c) check out what is required for the police certificates http://www.cic.gc.ca/English/information/security/police-cert/index.asp

d) find out how long it takes to get a date for the medical exam. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/medical/medexams-perm.asp

e) contact previous and current employers about them providing job letters. You must have at least 12 months of full-time, or an equal amount in part-time, skilled work experience. Full-time work means at least 30 hours of paid work per week. Work experience while you were a full-time student does not count.

f) research cities in the province(s) where you want to live.
Do we need to pay the fees after we receive ITA or at the time of applying for express entry profile ??

Submit a profile. If you have 470+, you may get an ITA. If you have at least SINP score of 70, you may get a nomination. You can apply to other provinces if eligible. You pay when you get ITA.

Hello

So I am applying for ECA through IQAS and have a couple of queries

1) My date of birth on the passport is the correct one but wrongly mentioned in my Education documents. I have a sworn affidavit for it.
Should I attach that in the "Proof of name change" column? Because I don't see any other place for it!

2) My education document mentions my father's name as a middle name, although no offical document has it .. What should I do about it? Will it cause any discrepancy?

Thanks
