He actually sent them an email stating that our info in the mail then telling them about the emotional trauma of not being together... then the MP replied with a form for us to fill so he can inquire from IRCC and they replied last week. Then I logged on to ecas today and saw decision made
Wow nice one, real happy for you guys and great move your side. I mean it's really frustrating holding your patience for the AVO. They can be real silent for weeks and once they update and you not withing the lucky ones you just need to wait for weeks or prolly a month. Good one. I guess is best to contact an MP when it exceeds the expected duration.

So I have seen this many times about contacting an MP, but how does one do this? What are the steps and how do we know who our MP is? Sorry for the stupid question, but I don't even know where I would start. Is there a list of MPs somewhere? For me I think it would be too early to do so, but I would like to know should it ever some to that what steps I need to take.

I don't know what the process is when you contact MP (when I get to that point, I'll know for sure - I pray to God I don't), but I'm sure it's standard; call/email, provide info on the nature of the call/email, MP will probably email you a consent form/some type of document for signature, and contact the VO on your behalf.

Their medical does not expire until January 2022 and there was no counterfoil on my GC key. I could be wrong but want to assume that it's because Accra received their passports before my landing was finalized by Calgary.
The request letter stated that we send passports if overseas within 30 days while I completed a web form for the landing portal. However, the DHL package was delivered to IRCC Accra a few days before Clagary completed my landing and forwarded my ECOPR. I've however resent the documents back to Accra and included my ECOPR as a confirmation that my dependents are exempt from the travel restrictions.
Did you have to link your dependents' profile to your GC key after landing? Please let me know if this was the case. Please and thanks..
Hi, please how long did it take to get your ECOPR. I am also in Canada with visiting vida and I got PPR on June 11, filled web form for virtual landing but still nothing yet.
Yes, I pray that happens. It’s a positive sign that things are moving along. I have it in my head that we will be getting the medical request by July’s end. Pre-pandemic I had read that medical requests are received on average 5 months after AOR1.

MP did contact IRCC for me. However, IRCC informed MP that they received my application in April 2021 and that eligibility has not commenced. Meanwhile, I submitted my documents by e-mail in December 2020 and when I didn't hear from IRCC after 4 months I submitted hard copies again by DHL in April 2021. What do I do? Send MP evidence of documents and confirmation by IRCC of documents sent in December 2020? I cant lose 4 months because of IRCC.
Please I would like to make an inquiry. My timeline is:
Application submitted: March 18, 2020
AOR & SA: November 3, 2020
Medical req: January 20, 2021
Medical passed: February 10, 2021
Pre-arrival services: April 21, 2021.
We have not heard back after the last update. Does anyone know what we should be expecting next?
The CIC page is not showing any updates. It still says we are checking if you meet the eligibility, we will let you know when we start background check.
Any information would be helpful or information on where we can get proper updates.
@Goodiesville congrats!!!
My guess would be 2 weeks - a month; however, this is based on my observation of others timeline. You never really know with AVO, unfortunately. I hope it's not too much of a wait for you!
Question for you: what was your status prior to 'Processing Background Check' ? I thought 'Processing Background Check' was standard for all applicants until completed.
