Hi I am new to here. Can anyone kindly let me know what’s the difference between AR and AOR? Does AR mean the date when my application package was received? If yes, the AR date is actually obtained from Canada Post website rather than IRCC? Thanks in advance.
Hi,
AR: "Application Received " by IRCC visa office. Yes, you can obtain this date from Canada Portstewart by tracking number.
AOR: Acknowledgement of Receipt, this is the date when IRCC send you Acknowledgement letter mentioning your UCI & Application number and they also confirm Application Received date.

AR- means Application Received ( is the day your application was received by IRCC while AOR means Acknowledgement of Receipt and it usually comes with your application number.
Guys,
My AR was in November 2020 and like many others from October onwards, I have not heard anything from IRCC yet except that I received my TFN on a phone call to IRCC. My Open Work Permit is expiring in August 2021. How can I maintain my status in Canada while IRCC is processing my PR application?
Thanks,

Ask your employer for LMIA - except number. For that your employer have to submit an offer of employment in employer portal and have to pay to the compliance fee as well. Once you get the number, just add it with your work permit application

I've seen that some applicants' UCI numbers have hyphens "-" and some others' don't. Can you please tell me how you keyed the UCI number in? Did you type the hyphens in?
