look folks , VACs are just an extension of IRCC, and right now - all the things
- flight ban,
- upfront medicals suspended,
- no medical requests being sent out for those who have a valid visa,
- delaying decisions on approved/rejected files
They are not acoincidence, they point to one direction - Canada does not want Indians to travel now as someone (IRCC minister or the people in the cabinet) have decided so. And only when that person(s) nods their head only then will the ball get rolling. Till then, no amount of tweets, no amount of rants will do anything. It might happen today it might happen on June 21, or by June end. Till then, everything is a rumor. Other countries' VACs opening has nothing to do with VFS Global.
This is true and speculations just ease your stress momentarily but never a permanent solution. I have come to realize that I should expect the worst case when it comes to dealing with IRCC and invest my time in other activities while I wait. We can moan and groan all we want but end of day it is their country and their rules, they can decide to work at their own pace without a care in the world. Some people make it some don't and struggle continues.

Yeah this makes sense. I have not factored defering in my plan of actions yet. However, I do wonder sometimes ideally what should be the timeframe when I should consider defering. Currently studying online for 2 years and my course ends in Aug 2022. What do you think?

31 Dec 2021 is the end date, after which the course wont count towards PGWP (if you continue from outside Canada), so that should be the line for you I guess.

With all honesty, I would never advise anyone to start studying without a study permit if your intension is to migrate. Currently VO have been extremely strict about issuing SP and it would just wrench you to loose so much money for nothing.

I can tell you this, if you are approved for a SP then go for it, you will definitely fly by Dec, no doubt about that. But if you are not approved, then how confident are you , given your type of application (SDS or non-SDS) and your weight that you put in (financial support, course in continuity with previous education/work, family ties demonstrated or not)?
On you have PPR. Sorry, I should have asked. I guess you are just waiting for VFS to open? In that case you should be all good as I think it should gradually start opening in few weeks and you should be able to travel before Oct if all goes well.

Yes. Thanks. Hopefully. Hoping for the best for everyone. VFS India has been vaccinating their staff as well. I guess that's also one step in the right direction.
