Hi guys,

has anyone applied for the RTD ( NOT urgent) and received it? And if so? How long did it take?

General update:

I can confirm that if you apply for RTD with your PR card, you'll get a 5-years RTD instead of 2 years.

I've just received mine, which is valid until 2026

You only need to send a copy of your proof of immigration status in Canada. Check section J on the RTD application.

Nowadays if the application is urgent everything will be sent via epost portal (uploads) so you should scan original proof of status because you're not mailing it

if you wanna apply through ePost (for urgent travel) first thing you have to do is sent webform and write your reason for urgent travel and if you have any document which can prove urgency attach it, if you will be considered they will send you ePost link and instructions to apply.

Im planning to travel to turkey in two weeks . I have flight and has stay of 17hrs in Amsterdam (netherlands) so will i be allowed to stay 17 hrs in airport or i can go outside ?? Does netherlands accpt RTD ? Please share yr experiences . I will be really thankful to every single one of you .

Netherlands accepts RTD, I traveled to Netherlands in 2019 with RTD. But in your case, call the embassy to make sure if you need a transit visa as well.

If i dnt wanna go outside of the airport do i still need a transit visa ??
