Based on the past experiences shared by people, I believe it's much faster for single applicants. If you have dependents then it takes longer. How long depends on which VO, dependents outland or inland and of course on the officer's speed of doing things. As per CIC website, any application might take 132 days after AOR given that all the required paperwork is done correctly.

I am a single inland applicant. Married but my husband is a permanent resident. The only ghost update I received was April 28. One day after medical passed. Never received any update since then.

Hi Friends, CEC Inland Spouse+1 Kid. AOR April 23rd, Medical and Bio passed May 12 and Never had any GU until now. Got an email notification today for additional documents. The request in the application was to provide "RCMP Certified Criminal Record Check with fingerprints." for both applicants.
Also I could see background changed from "We are processing your background..." to "Your application is in progress.
I'm hoping there will not be any more document request and not sure if my eligibility and other checks are complete.
