Biometrics Invitation Letter is coming the next day for SDS.

Has anyone done SDS while not being inside the designated SDS country?

My applctn was submitted on May 5th
Biometrics given on 10th
I m in Bahrain & my application was given from India. N in all the forms my current address in Bahrain was submitted. Probably that’s why it went to Abu Dhabi ?

Because you submitted Bahrain addresses hence it was sent to Abu Dhabi!! How do you know it’s in Abu Dhabi? The PH applicants put their PH address as their current address because technically our status in the ME is temporary and can never be changed. You are here temporarily and have to leave when your job is lost hence how does it become your resident resident. I mean that’s their argument which if you think from the VOs perspective is correct. Y

Oh so you got a refusal already? I was told recently by someone that when you apply from a certain place mentioning it being the place you “Live” they only check ties with that place then. Hence it’s advised to apply from home country always for Middle east expats!

I was asked by the agency to fill in my Bahrain address as my current and present address.
And that's why in my Biometrics Invitation letter , Bahrain address was mentioned

This is why it went to Abu Dhabi office.

At the time of application, did you raise concern to your agency to avoid the application from outside India?

i didnt know, so i wasn't concerned. And now I know. But the 2nd time when I apply, i will mention to put everywhere address in India and apply thru SDS.
but again a small concern there, becoz of the Bahrain address thats there in the Biometrics letter, will it again go to Abu Dhabi... ?

This should not be an issue.

Last year when Vfs were closed in India. Many students travelled UAE to get their biometrics done and returned back to India.

Their file was still processed in India.

I believe it has nothing to do with where the biometrics were done.

Thank you! I applied from Abu dhabi. This is my second application as my first one got refused.

First application:
Applied: 7th Feb 2021
Biometric done: 18th Feb
Eligibility started: 19th Feb
BVL & refusal: 31st March

Second application:
Applied: 15th May
Eligibility started: 7th June
BVL and ppr: 13 June
