Called cic today
I applied june 8,2020 Aor November and in progress since dec16 2020
Agent said all verification are still under process and once its completed i will get notification for test. Told me its just a waiting game.
From Edmonton. Has anyone with same timeline received test from edmonton ? My cousin applied in august 2020 from toronto got the test and i am still waiting So unfair

Edmonton seems super slow. We have almost the same timeline. It’s going to be a waiting game for sure. I hope we get the called fir the test soon.

I have seen in the FB forum that some applicants are getting an update on the online status tracker to take the test in the period which has already passed.

For Instance, a person got an tracker update on June 7th to take test between May 17 to May 30. but he/she haven't received any email from the IRCC about the test.

Did anyone faced this issue.

That's weird. I've not personally seen or head about such cases.

Yes, I heard of those cases, on Facebook a candidate mentioned that his tracker was updated in May for a test invite and he never saw it, never got an email, and recently he got a 2nd invite which is now showing in the tracker and also he finally got an email.
My own experience is similar, my tracker shows that I am invited to take the test starting June 18th but I haven't received anything by email, if I don't get any information by Friday I'll call them.

For the interview after the test is passed, I have seen they ask for your passport to verify. Now, if my passport is recently expired, is that fine?

Which office processes the test invites, is it local office or any central office like for FP's.

May I know your views on Ottawa office, is it slow as compared to other offices like Toronto or Montreal.

Yes expired passport is fine.
For the tracker, what date did you receive your test invite? And did you actually take the test on June 12?

Is there a link with receiving this email then being invited for the test shortly after ?

I received the same email and there is no evidence to link this email with a test invitation.
