In my opinion any time IRCC contacts someone it is a good sign. It indicates the progress in your application.
May I ask what kind of update they are asking? I heard that they sometimes ask for additional documents like resume (especially for grad students). Is it something like that?

Also it always helps other if you could share your timeline. :)

thanks for your help! The additional info requested is an updated schedule A since I applied in 2019: adresses, places of employment, etc.
Here is my timeline:
Application mailed: October 2019
AOR: March 2021
Medicals: April 2021

The processing time is 27 months and you don't have DM yet. They may send it but not likely, when you get the DM then start worrying about it.
I guess you have open work permit!?
Did you get your COPR letter at the end, Leokun?

Your application is not full, probably you have gaps or something they find incomplete.
Great! now there is the long wait for the card. It never ends :)
131 days after all the wait! It’s like overtime :) I can’t realize yet that’s over :(

I don’t think so! They asked for additional information from the dates after receiving my application (so, everything from October 2019 to now), not for any timeline provided within the original application. Anybody else got ADR for their current whereabouts after 1+ year wait?

What are some of the common ways we can prove our intention to live outside Quebec while having a QSW in processing. Is the cancellation of the QSW process the only way to prove that?
I couldn't find a definite answer for it. Some people find a job in other provinces or relocate outside Quebec and so on. If you search there is another thread for people like us who live in Quebec and want to apply for EE.

You can still receive additional documents request even if you have AOR. I understand that you situation is different. Did they move your file to another office?
