I guess I am going to stay on that Maximum 18 months Open Work Permit Public Policy after PGWP for now until they decide to bring up BOWP. I am not thinking about getting AR until at least december 2021....by the way I got my XEP on January 2021.

File Sent : Dec 11, 2020
Received : Jan 5, 2021
XEP : Jan 8, 2021
Sounds logical according to the trend. If they increase Quebec quota by 20-30% in October then only we see faster AR after that for others also.

As we know Quebec's immigration thresholds in 2021, a maximum of 26,000 people.
We also know that 50,000 skilled workers are awaiting permanent residence.
Does anybody know what is the Quebec's immigration thresholds in 2022?

IRCC has stopped issuing AOR since April 2021. May be they have reached the threshold for 2021 which is 26,000 people. From the facebook group what I see, IRCC is working fast after issuing AOR, and giving PR in 3/4 months after AOR.

But for the pending application (those who are waiting for AOR), we don't know when IRCC has plan to issue, this year, next year. Any body knows? . . . . Any Idea?

I have one more question, I am inland but spouse is outland. Is IRCC is gonna put my application "on hold" like other outland applicants or still consider my application as inland?
No, we don’t know anything about quota 2022, I think we will know this in autumn.
According to IRCC committee, since January to April they already processed 7000 people.

Isn’t this ridiculous that only Quebec applicants are worrying about quota, IRCC committees, AOR issuing, etc.
I am sure any other immigrant from another province doesn’t even care about this stuff.
On top of normal worrying about, I don’t know, background and medical checks, we are worrying about some “quota” *facepalm*

The CAQ, they probably will not change their stance as long as they are in power, but we can sure as hell try putting pressure on them. Meetings continue at the National Assembly today, I hope they keep putting pressure on them. This is ridiculous.

Correction - IRCC has stopped issuing AOR since April '2020'.
No one knows about AOR. I am guessing those who applied March-April onwards this year won't get it before next year.
Your application would be considered inland only.
Hope this helps!
Also, add to that, they're a lot of applicants from 2019 who are still waiting for their AOR's. People from the date around mine who received it by March 10 are still waiting for IVM while others who receive their AOR in April are getting the invitation for medicals. An immigration agent told me that now they have a total mess with the treatment of our applications.

Yes it's chaos. No order whatsoever followed in treatment of files. This solely is IRCC fault, rest it's all screw up by CAQ.

Hi all, I received my CSQ last week but thinking about applying through the new stream TR to PR. Currently live and work in Ontario.
Worried about the long waiting period of the Federal part (27 months for PR) as I extended my PGWP for 18 months and only a year left.
Any advice would be appreciated!

They said that they wil increase the quota for about 7000 people since they didn't reach 2020 quota (for all programs).

Source : https://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/informations/news/news-2020/immigration-plan-2021.html

The max quota for QSW 2021 is 24200 people, so with 3500 people more, IRCC could complete applications for about 27700 people

Official text (in french) :

Le nombre visé de travailleurs qualifiés se situerait entre 22 900 et 24 200 personnes. Le report de 3 500 admissions de l’année 2020 est également prévu ;

I believe they might be trying to give everyone who applied their AOR soon. That is the least IRCC can do, instead of letting us wait a year. Why have they slowed down all of a sudden. I think an explosion might happen, I could be wrong, just a guess here.

Hello all,
I need your answers please. My GCkey says” we are reviewing the results of your medical exam” infact i have not given the medical yet as no MR. But a few weeks ago i submitted my spouse’s(non accompanying) Medicals through web form which he did for his Spouse Open work permit. Could it be because of that or am i suppose to expect a MR soon. Please advise

thanks in advance
EDIT: i called IRCC today and the agent was dumbhead and gave no info and infact was so lazy to even check and answer my question. He says we already have your medical results when i told him 100 times that its for my spouse and he said we will contact you if we need more info
