I don't think so. If you have a job offer in Canada that requires Canadian citizenship (like job with RCMP/CSIS etc), then yes - that is a valid reason. I don't think IRCC will find it satisfactory when you are trying to expedite your citizenship process and move ahead in the queue to take a job from a foreign employer while hundreds of thousands of other applicants are waiting .

Hi Guys! Did anyone receive an acknowledgement after CIC received their fingerprint results from RCMP? I got mine done on May 5th but the application status is still showing 'Waiting on you for fingerprints'. I'm not sure long does RCMP take to send the results, they told me 2 weeks but it's almost 3 weeks now.

No there is no acknowledgment from CIC in email confirming they received your fingerprints but after a month or so they will update on the portal that the Background verification is completed.
For my spouse it took about '2' months to get this Background verification status as completed.
