What are the requirements for photos to be submitted along the online application? I got the digital copy and the receipt with the photographer location and date of photographs taken. Do we upload that in the online application? How it works. Please guide.
Thanks a lot.
VJ
For photo requirements, click on the 'help' button in the 'one digital citizenship photo' section in the online application. Take a photo of the receipt with your phone, and upload it too in the same section.
Congratulations !
did you mention many absences from canada in the application ?
like 20 + different ones ?
I only had 10 absenses from Canada during eligibility period, 4 of them - day trips to US

Thank you very much. Does the province IDs work as one the IDs? And Also can I submit my current country passport as 2nd piece of ID?
VJ.
My DL expires in Jan 2022 but I will be submitting my application now. Does the ID need to valid now or will it have to be valid when they review my application or during the whole time of the application?

Looking at the speed of online applications, I am seriously considering withdrawing my paper application and apply online again.

The timelines still seem better and given the fact IRCC is now going to invest and modernize their IT infrastructure, the chances of online applications being processed faster is way higher than paper. They might just not deal with paper application back logs for years as it has been seen historically with IRCC.
I applied on paper in August 2020 and then also applied for online in December 2020. As soon as I applied online, they found my paper application and sent an AOR while disregarding my online application.
The agency is a joke.
Sharing my timeline:
Online application - March 15 (or so)
AOR - not received.
2 months so far.

Well, Once you get an AOR, I dont think it matters online or paper. Before issuing AOR, all paper documents submitted will be scanned and an electronic file is created which creates no difference between both. Those who got tests and oath were chosen to test the new online system. Everyone is one the same boat now, lately online applications were met with bad fate as they are waiting for AOR (5+ months and waiting).....

It's been many months since I applied, so I'm not sure about those details, and I don't wanna give out wrong info, so maybe try calling IRCC.

Maybe not anymore, you are right. But my initial application was in the very first batch of online pilot which was disregarded as somehow they found my paper application which was not acknowledged in almost 4 months.
Once they upgrade and make the online application system fully integrated in to the processing cycle or completely adopt to it, the paper ones will be set aside for electronic translation which could take months or years while new applications will keep getting processed.
I mean it's just my speculation but will be most likely the outcome.
Hi admin,
Received AOR for Jan-02-2021 online application. Please update on the spread sheet. Thank you.
