Called IRCC May 14, never got a GU after BIL completed, online account says "we are processing your background check" since AOR, also not sure why my case was sent to vancouver local office for processing while the residential address is in ontario

Hi, a question please. I am planning to go to my home country this June, but I haven’t got any update regarding my application for visitor’s visa (I applied inside Canada). Is it possible to just wait outside Canada for the approval of the visitors visa? Or should I submit an application again (outside Canada)? Thank you

I think you won't be able to submit the passport once you get the passport request for your TRV application and without valid temporary resident visa you won't be able to travel to Canada. You will need to submit new TRV application from your home country and need to wait until your TRV is approved and your passport is stamped before you can travel to Canada. Please ignore this if you are from visa exempt country, I think some different law applies to you. I am also waiting for my TRV application approval. I am currently in Canada and applied from inside Canada.

I don't think you will be able to do that. You will have to submit new application from your home country. I applied on 20th April 2021. I don't know the reason behind your urgent travel but I understand and respect your situation. I hope things works out for you. I think @legalfalcon should be able to clear this thing.

I submitted my profile on March 16,2021 and on May 10th I got ghost update so I gave a call to ircc to know what’s the status and agent has told me your final decision has been made and it has been moved to local visa office. Firstly, I was shocked and didn’t ask anything. I called again, and asked to make sure and another agent told me it’s approved, it will take time at local visa office, not sure how much long. My medical has been passed on 30th March and biometrics done 1st April, 2021. After calling the agent, after two days, again I got ghost update on my profile and now I am waiting for the final decision to be released on my profile. Anyone knows how much long nowadays taking after it’s approved to reflect on profile?

Good for u if your file gets approved with that small period of time.

Does anyone know if i take bowp while im still bounded to an employer or close work permit. Can i choose another work? Or bwop is just an extension for my expiring permit and i have to follow the conditions?

Medicals passed on 25tth march.
Bio Exempted on the same day and bio updated.

There were no Ghost updates. So I called the IRCC agent 2 days back and I got pretty much the same response that I see in my profile.
I'm not sure whether the agent really looked into it and provided an update or she just looked into my profile status page and updated it.

Only the additional info I got from Agent is my VO office which is OTTAWA.

How do we ask agents about real status like many others are getting about their eligibility, criminality, info sharing, etc.

I did ask them. But the agent said, there is no update. the agent seems to say what's they saw on the profile page. My BG status was "we are processing..." .

That is what worries me as how eligibility also not started.
