Regd. medical exam status update

Hi All,

I had submitted my study permit application on 09-Feb-2021 (Non-SDS, India). Here's my timeline:

App submitted - 09 Feb 2021
Biometrics updated - 12 Feb 2021
Medical Request - 09 April 2021

I have completed my medical on 20th April and the same has been submitted by the clinic to eMedical on 27th April.

Now, in my application, the medical status reads: (as of 11th May)

Review of medical results:

• We did not receive the results of your required medical exam. Check your medical exam request message below for details.

Is this normal given the current situation? and does medical get updated/accepted after this status?

do you have the e-medical information sheet ? confirm with your clinic then send webform then just wait. ircc stated that they have backlogs of medicals

Thanks, I did exactly that today. Sent the eMedical sheet via webform. I think all i can do now is wait...

Thats normal to them, they have many backlogs.

Ooohhh, Seems you got a medical request. I thought none of the Non-SDS from India got the medical request. It seems wonderful that people getting medical requests. Many of us waiting for the medical request letter after bio since February 2021. Hope we would get it after seeing your status.

May I know where are you from? Have you submitted the application in India itself?

Hey I applied on Feb 16 and haven't got a single update from IRCC since biometrics update, which was delayed by a month.

IRCC does say that (for Fall 2021):

If we receive your complete study permit application by May 15, 2021, you’ll get a decision by August 6, 2021

So I think we should be good and just trust the process..

Nothing yet. Still shows the same status.

I had sent a webform with my eMedical file and they acknowledged it and said that my file application is still in progress and they are experiencing delays.

I got similar replies. They acknowledged the eMedical file but wouldn’t tell me whether they received the medical report.

My clinic submitted the medical on 13 April. Let me know if your status changes and I’ll keep this thread updated.

I am still waiting for the medical to pass. No additional medical exam was requested, nor the physician suspected any problem.
It has been 25 days since I completed my medical exam.
