Need to request extension of medical deadline

hi Guys,

We received a request for medical completion within 30 days today for our spousal sponsorship application however Bangalore in india is under lockdown until May 12 and cases keeps going up, i am thinking of submitting a request for extension of 30 days to be on the safe side.

can you advise who should i send this request to. My sponshorship shows decision made so not sure if i should submit a webform for application processed in canada or outside canada.
Any advise ?

Hi, I had to do the same recently. Email your local visa office if it's known and explain the situation. I recieved 30 day extension. They will understand.

My application is not yet forwarded to visa office so i dont know where to send my request. Does anyone have any experiences ? Shall i sent a request to CPC sydney ?

You can submit a web form with the request to make it official but IRCC has said that based on the covid situation in the various countries they will automatically extend document requests.
