Did you get your DM yet? Sometimes they switch to DM and CoPR at the same time. You might luck out since your work permit is about to expire?

I asked my MP to request a faster Copr and they refused. I'm applying for new WP on Monday, I don't have a choice.

That's frustrating. Well looking at the "patterns" (doesn't seem to apply to me) you should get your CoPR within the month so hopefully you cna get a refund for the WP. Sucks to apply though. I can empathize with you.

I'm pretty sure the fact that I got a new passport is probably adding delays. I regret getting a new passport. I did it cause it only had a year left on it and if I needed to renew my WP, I would want a 2 yr WP..

I do have time and my company will take care of everything as they are doing for my PR. Its just uncertain times, things can change in terms of if the company still wants to operate in Canada or not very quickly and I have a life here now..

I don't think the new passport is adding any delays. I know some people got their CPR shortly after they sent them the new passport.
If the passport is going to expire soon, they actually ask you to send the new one.

Hi Guys,

I submitted my application in Dec 2019 and got my AOR in Feb 2021. Based on my online profile and my GSMC note my security has started in Feb 2021. I am worried that QSW might take forever, and because I am eligible to apply for the new stream for international students I am considering applying for that stream.

Does anyone here know whether we can have two applications in federal at the same time? (one from Quebec and one from the new stream) and withdraw the Quebec application if the visa officer asks about it.
