I applied for study permit in June 2020 from Nigeria, and was refused in October. I studied Accounting but I applied for Global Business Management at Humber college. The reasons were family ties to home country and Canada and also purpose of visit. I want to re apply now and I need to know what to do to improve my chances of getting the visa. Also I'm going for Strategic Management in Accounting at Centennial College.

I picked that course because it is related and not a diploma but a post graduate diploma.
How do I get the GCMS note and how long before I get it.

GCMS notes take about 30 days. Google “order GCMS” notes. You need to know because one of your reasons is “purpose of travel” which can mean anything like not returning home after your studies.

We are in the same boat. I got refusal for 1 yr buss admin certificate. and planning to take Strategic Management - Accounting in Centennial. Did you re-apply? what is the status then? Please share.

VO links many reasons together. Purpose of study is generic one and other reasons could lead to it.

how old are you ? any gaps ? do you have family in your home country ? are they sponsoring you ? did you mention your plans after you finish your education in Canada ?

Yes, just reapplied. I'm also about to write ielts to be eligible for NSE.
