Hey, I live now in Toronto but in June i need to go to Vancouver for 2-3 months to help my friend with renovating house during summer. After that I'm coming back to Toronto.
You think i should update my address then to Vancouver one or that would cause only trouble/delay if i would changing back and forth my address?
I mean everything it's online anyway now so I'm wondering if this is necessary if its just temporary move.

My friend is staying in that Toronto apartment while I'll be on vacation so he will let me know if any letter would come. Worst case scenario I just quickly fly back if they need something
But except FP request I dont think they would need anything anyway.

If you are planning to move back in few months then do not change your address. Do not listen to anyone unless they are immigration consultant/lawyer. Your file is transferred the moment you change your province and that's going to add months to your processing time. IRCC only cares about your address until the date of your application it good idea to keep IRCC updated but if your address or location is gonna be the same when you return don't bother changing it. Currently tests and Oath ceremony are being held online so it wont affect.

I applied in early July 2020 and have my AOR and in process since Jan 14. I applied from Ottawa. I also applied at the same time for a renewed PR card. When I applied for the PR card it was in case my citizenship didn't come through before October 2021 when my card would expire. I received the new PR card in November 2020. Do I need to update that as part of my application for citizenship? If so, what's the best way to go about it?
Regarding address I'm kind of in limbo, waiting to move to Toronto for a new job that I started during COVID but have to wait for the office to open etc. I'm staying temporarily in Quebec. Do I need to update that? And if so, how will changing address affect my application? Or can I wait until things reopen and I have a new permanent address in Toronto? I have easy access to my address in Ottawa still.
I've been quiet on this forum. I was on here back in 2013-2014 when I was a PR and the stoppages were occurring. I hit a massive depression point and nearly gave up in 2015 when suddenly I received a work permit. Fortunately things turned around 2nd half of 2015. I honestly forgot about this forum.
Back in June I submitted my citizenship paperwork. I attached a whole bunch of paperwork I personally felt was relevant to citizenship (but may not have been necessary):
1. Application;
2. Finger print scans (I've been asked to resubmit those again);
3. T4 and NOA since I began working in Canada along with a proof of employment letter to correspond with tax years;
4. University diploma to show knowledge of English language;
5. Photos of my per application request (non-Tinder ones lol);
6. List of times I've left Canada (they are very specific about days/times) and I lost my notebook with all times I left/entered Canada in 2019 after my wife and I separated (she was my sponsor). I used US Customs and Border Protection information as a secondary source.
But here is to update you all about the citizenship process during COVID times. It seems they are moving kind of fast with applications.
November 3, 2020 - Correspondence was sent that IRCC/CIC received my application on July 6, 2020.
January 8, 2021 - Processing began
April 8, 2021 - Fingerprint request was sent. I will get them done this weekend at a private company (my work uses them which I was sent to in December 2019 so I used those for my citizenship process).

Keep your address for wherever you are at right now. If you do move to Toronto then you change your address.
I was staying in a city in British Columbia when I submitted my citizenship paperwork. It was to be only temporary but once I went with the citizenship process I may have stayed there. Fortunately an opportunity opened in Vancouver so I moved there. That's when I updated the address.
It's easy to change your address online. But for right now keep the address where you are on file. Only change it if you do officially move and have secured a more permanent address.
So far only seen invites for Jan/Feb/Mar 2020 applicants predominantly from non-Ontario provinces. Beyond that I have only seen FP requests. I think its a long wait for those from Ontario due to lockdowns
