Hi friends - while applying online for citizenship, how do we add the details which are normally printed on the back of the photo? Do we just upload the photo and receipt? Or if anyone else doing something else?
@CCAI2021 please share your opinion also.

Instructions clearly state that 'No Scanning'. I guess some applicants were lucky that their scanned got approved but i guess we should follow the instructions.

Scanning is definitely not an option as that will not be the original copy. I am sure we have to upload the soft copy but my question was about the date it was taken and other details..
I'm sure he meant scanning the back of the photographs where the photographer's information are usually recorded.

Upload a receipt or the photographer business card. You can also upload a text file containing the photographer information

As per my reading, for the online application you need a digital photo(not a scanned photo).
In my case I went to the nearest Shoppers. It was a bit more expensive I guess: $30 + tax. They gave me 2 physical photos + 1 digital photo in a USB drive(they provided). They also gave a photo-card which had my photo, store details, details of when the photo was taken. I uploaded the digital photo + a pic I took of the photo-card with my phone. I was gonna upload the receipt pic, but then the photocard seemed better with all the details.

A whole week is almost gone without a single AOR at least for online applicants. IRCC, what is going on? Do you want to hire some of us for free? We will be willing to give some time to get the job done!
Is there some sort of access to information request that people who applied online can make?
INTERVIEW EXPERIENCE: Just completed mine. Used MS Teams in Chrome (opens on clicking the link in the interview invite). Try the link a few minutes before time (like 5-10) just to check everything is working. I was told you can join again using the same link if you get disconnected during the interview. The interview took only around 5 minutes. The immigration agent was very nice and friendly. I was only asked to show the ID's and documents submitted with the application, along with confirmation of some information submitted in the application. Was allowed to ask questions in the end, so I asked two:
1) When can I expect the oath?
Sometime in April
2) Why I can't check the application status online?
Online applicants do have this issue. They are working on it.
In case anyone is wondering why some online applicants (like myself) have had very fast processing - I was told a few very early online applicants were chosen and their applications are being expedited through the new process to test it out. The speed for these test cases should not be compared to those who applied before and after.
My timeline:
App submission - 4th Dec 2020 - Online (Toronto) [Not Urgent]
AOR email - 3rd Feb 2021
Test invite email - 24th Feb 2021
Test taken - 2nd March 2021
Interview invite email - 16th March 2021
Interview - 30th March 2021
IRCC office handling my app - Montreal
Good luck everyone
Please were you asked to submit photocopies of your travel documents and passport before the interview? Thank you.
