@CCAI2021, nice one going for you.
I just have a quick follow-up question based on what the IRCC officer told you about the quick process for early applicants. Just to be sure, was her statement borderline clear on the early applicants? If so, can you speculate on how early is early? I meant was it Dec 1 to Dec 4 or Dec 1 to Dec 15 or 30? Is this quick processing time for the 5,000 applicants used for the pilot project? Am I am expecting an exact response from you cos you wouldn't really have them. So please feel free to speculate from what you might have garnered from your conversation.
Thanks
I was only told "a few early applicants" were chosen for testing the new system. I've no idea about the end-date for the selection or the number of selections, so I don't think I should say things I know nothing about. You can make some guesses from the Google docs tracker about the dates, but I think that too should be taken with a grain of salt, with it being a tiny dataset and crowdsourced (so at times people might not update their info)
You got test invite 8 days after AOR too!Looks like you and sg02 have the exact same timeline?Thats so cool. Congrats guys!I just got my AOR yesterday, hopefully my test invite will come soon
Yes, you should expect to get the test invite soon.
I just passed the test, hope to receive the interview invitation soon.

INTERVIEW EXPERIENCE: Just completed mine. Used MS Teams in Chrome (opens on clicking the link in the interview invite). Try the link a few minutes before time (like 5-10) just to check everything is working. I was told you can join again using the same link if you get disconnected during the interview. The interview took only around 5 minutes. The immigration agent was very nice and friendly. I was only asked to show the ID's and documents submitted with the application, along with confirmation of some information submitted in the application. Was allowed to ask questions in the end, so I asked two:
1) When can I expect the oath?
Sometime in April
2) Why I can't check the application status online?
Online applicants do have this issue. They are working on it.
In case anyone is wondering why some online applicants (like myself) have had very fast processing - I was told a few very early online applicants were chosen and their applications are being expedited through the new process to test it out. The speed for these test cases should not be compared to those who applied before and after.
My timeline:
App submission - 4th Dec 2020 - Online (Toronto) [Not Urgent]
AOR email - 3rd Feb 2021
Test invite email - 24th Feb 2021
Test taken - 2nd March 2021
Interview invite email - 16th March 2021
Interview - 30th March 2021
IRCC office handling my app - Montreal
Good luck everyone
My timeline is exactly same as you. Only difference is I got no interview invite. Does everyone get invited for Interview?

Doesn't seem like that. Of the few other cases I've seen here with similar timeline, most haven't.
I am still waiting for the AoR. Who else is waiting for AOR from December online applicants?
Guys please confirm if you received the AoR:
@Pran6009 @aaom225 @thrx
@Rijo02 @insat3d @destiny2016 @dersonc @Vidhan17
Still waiting........
I believe
@Pran6009 is the immediate next on the line. As a 27 Dec applicant, and based on the previous progress, I am hoping for AOR in 2 weeks (figures crossed). What do you think
@vg1989?

Since Dec 19 applicants have already received AoR, @thrx (Dec 23) seems to be next in line and I was hoping that all Dec online applicants will receive AoR in a week or so but looks like it may take another 2-3 weeks looking at the below pending list:
Dec 16:
@dersonc
Dec 17:
@Pran6009
Dec 18: @aaom225

i got aour too and this says on my ECAS
- We started processing your application on March 29, 2021.
hey guys I got AOR since Feb 23 (they received my application Dec 4Th)
and ECAS says this
- We started processing your application on March 29, 2021.
What is hilarious to me is that my citizenship process is going faster than my PR renewal process, maybe cause they know i'm also applying for citizenship? who knows...

Hi
How do you check the ECAS? can you please share the link? I cant see my application anywhere
also, are you online applicant?

I noticed that you had submitted the physical as well as online application later for citizenship. In my opinion, IRCC is considering your physical application as your primary citizenship application because your timeline matches well with the physical applicants. IRCC may have either ignored or merged your online application with the physical one.
It's possible your separate PR application may have some impact on your citizenship application but I doubt it as your citizenship application timeline looks pretty normal to me. ECAS status for most of physical applicants of Nov-2020 already got updated to In-Process, so IRCC seems to be updating the status for early Dec-2020 applicants to In-Process now.
