I applied for renewal of passport 6 months before expiry. You can apply at your city where u live. Procedure is same as we apply for new passport. After new passport receive , inform ircc through webform.

Why august applications are on hold now so frustrated now .. waiting for AOR this long never expected that .. did someone called ircc to find out why are they doing this with august applicants(?????

Ask how they issued AOR for September applicants ... by ignoring Rest of the August Applicants

I think, your lawyer will get an email in 1-2 days for AOR. It happened to me as well.

May I know what is your AOR date shown in ECAS and what day you received AOR email?

From my assumption, they provide us with a Temp File # when they go through all the documents to verify if they meet all the guidelines and after that Officer send us an AOR after checking our Eligibility .That could be a reason for the wait between Temp # and AOR.Also people are getting COPR after an average of 4 months after AOR

I honestly don't think so. Eligibility is checked later on. My assumption (and I am too guessing) is that temp file number is generated when they opened your application package it is probably assigned to someone inside IRCC, AOR is probably generated when that officer checked your application and (probably) digitized it.

Hi good people, I have a question, I don’t know how many of you have the employment restrictions like me which has to keep the full time status and etc but as Ontario is going to enter another lockdown my boss wanna put me on part time for the following month. Is this really gonna effect the application like I may not pass the eligibility or that is a ok thing to do. I’ve checked this forum for long time and didn’t see a lot of people talk about this, it’s actually hard to keep full time for this whole process during this pandemic...really need your help, thank you

Hi,
Yes. Call them and try to get whether which stage they are processing currently for you after your MP. Your eligibility must be started. Not sure but ask them.
