Hi everyone, I just wanted to give you an update. My representative informed me that he had received my AOR in early March, 2021.
17 months later, finally! Hope it happens for all of you reading this too. Thinking of all of you here struggling with the same waiting game.
When did you send your file?
When did you send your file?
October 2019!
Which Fb group did you see that? Im in 2 groups and only saw march 2020
The group on FB is called: Où sont nos dossiers de Residences Permanentes - Québec?
Just saw on FB group that some people who applied in March/May/June 2020 and October/November 2020 got their official ARs, anyone in this thread who are 2020 applicants got their ARs?
Sent in June 2020, no AOR so far... Only XEP
Hi I'm in Canada with a new study permit, and CIC in Sydney seemed to start processing my CSQ application (they emailed AOR-like email saying I need to pay for it). I think it's strange, because I have submitted an overriding application according to PEQ graduate conditions. So I'm wondering if I paid again (I withdrew it before study permit application) could I be considered but at some point refused a PR visa because of my hypothetical conditions, meaning is the application fee worthless? FYI I'm studying at a grad school in BC.

Folks want to understand the process of switching job while waiting for PR? Applied May20. Any risks? Also cost and timelines if someone knows that. Thanks.
My only concern is if these people are confusing the XEP with the AOR
There are certain speculations going on as to how and who are getting AOR, apparently one guy from sept 2019 on the FB page posted that he called IRCC and the agent explained to him that the process of sending AOR has changed since the officers are working from home. Some officers send AOR upon checking the completeness and to send the AOR they have to book and appointment at the office to come there and send AOR, while some officers will mAke sure that all steps are done like background, criminality and security etc is done and then will send the AOR. The final step will only be medicals.
Thats why some are getting it early while some from august 2019 are still left to get their AORs. I am not 100% sure how much is the reality, just hoping that the ones who are left out should get it soon

Can I have the FB group link, please?

Thanks, I hope you are right, but I don't want to delude myself. Sometimes it takes still months...
I'm not holding my breath either. I suspect people who get their copr 2 weeks after medicals already had their security done either while the medicals started or way before. (which is not my case for the latter at least) That, and the fact that I've traveled to maaaannnyyy countries..

Yeah, it didn't happen to have the COPR in 2 weeks to me. I am still waiting...
I have also travelled a lot, but I don't think that can justify the process for me taking 1 year more than other applications. What additional checks are taking one year and more? I am honestly very frustrated.
I have asked again for GCMS notes to see the current status of my security checks, but that will take at least 1 months to arrive.

Honestly just calling them and talking to them might be faster. A friend of mine got a request for a new background declaration form after her medicals back in January and nothing since then.

Calling them will change absolutely nothing. Last time I called, the agent on the phone told me that now they can not put even a note on the file to be checked.
