I personally was about to move out from my place in Toronto few months ago and the landlord agreed to shorten the minimum leave notice as long I take care of finding the new tenant (which is very simple thanks to Kijiji & Facebook market)

On the other hand, you can always use a friend address to receive your card while abroad if you have to travel before getting the pr card.

Waiting for PR card for 2 months... anybody else like me?
I called IRCC and the agent said he only knows what I see on the gc keys.

As per processing times on the cic website, processing first time PR card will take 125 days/more than 4 months? (im assuming this is before covid happen) I am also waiting for my PR card but I am not going to travel anytime soon or I don’t think I will need it for the next few months. I know other people get their cards after few days or a week? Lucky them! but I guess we’ll just have to wait. As last time that I emailed and called IRCC they said they are “prioritizing applications from people who are exempt from travel restrictions” I have no clue what they are prioritizing anymore as they are so slow in processing.

you can call IRCC to ask about the status of your application.

I did a couple of times...They just answer like they can only see what I see on Gckeys...
But there's no update on gckeys... Do they know if the card is in the factory?

Yes definitely..you should receive it in another 2 weeks

I got a GU around 2.5 weeks before my card got approved in my IRCC account. So far that’s the only GU that I received.

When it got approved, a message showed up saying

We mailed your permanent resident card to you. Your card can take up to six weeks to arrive.

It will also show PR card expiration date which is 5 years from the day it got approved.

photo is in review still on PR confirmation portal, even though it’s been more than a month since I got my PR card.

I guess you already got the answer ..it’s just matter of time you will have Pr card in your mailbox in 2 weeks
