yes, on the day you enter the country, but you need to come to Service Canada in person to order health card, so after 14 days of quarantine, also read what documents to bring ( landing, address confirmation and fill the questionnaire)

No, it doesn't start on the day of entry but start on the day you apply for OHIP in service Ontario. They will give you acknowledgement sheet ( TRANSACTION RECORD) with health no. ( Health card number).
I have submitted the PP. The attached request letter doesn't ask for the travel plan or quarantine plan.
They have mentioned in the email, Email Screenshot

Why is there discrepancy? What are the next steps? When can we expect them?
The worse thing is the Ministers office doesn't respond. It's very sad they just ignore such letters. I personally wrote many letters, mailed (registered and signed), emailed,, got nothing back. Even my Local MP signed one of the letters acknowledging and supporting the issue, no response. Anyway, I recently heard Canadian-based staff who are primarily responsible for working on files are back to their post, hope to see some progress for all those are waiting.

Remember we are still within the 20-24 month timeline. Just, but we knew coming into this it could take a couple of years. Hopefully covid doesn't delay things even more.

Anyone here has parents recently landed? just wondering if my parents need to have an IRCC authorization prior to landing? Any response is highly appreciated.

I’m curious too, heard that hotels are awful, hours waiting for check in, no food on time, yuk when finally arrives, cold and few days old looking. When those hotels become government appointed they forgot what’s customer service is....

It's important to look at reviews and book one that doesn't served day old looking food. I've seen people post some nice food and some really bad ones... (judged from the pictures)
