CoPR issued pre-18/03/2020. Expired 07/2020.
Total silence from IRCC in spite of several ready to travel webforms sent.
I just accepted a new job. I will tell them I am not ready to travel before July, if they even contact me at all.
Anybody knows if there are any irreversible consequences to telling them we are not ready to travel at this time?
Given how uncertain and messed up the situation is, I'd rather wait til late summer to decide if I go or if I wait even longer to do a soft landing when things are back to normal in 2022.
Hi all,
This is to give a hope for all the pre March expired Copr holders who have not got any updates yet.

4 pointer email Sept 30, gave reply but no luck.
Raised multiple web forms till Dec 23rd 2020
On Fed 2nd 2021we raised webform again and today we found an update in our profile. The old Copr details have been removed. And we recd an email regarding the same.
So, don't loose hope. I guess they have started working with the next set of expired Copr holders.
Hope I will get my AL at the earliest.
Yes, I too got an email that the application is updated. On logging in, I could see that status is changed from approved to submitted.

ArriveCan - what to select in purpose of travel? I am going as extended family member... The options are family reunion for immediate family member and no mention of extended family.
Or i select none of the above? @legalfalcon@whyCorona any inputs?
Select family reunion for immediate family members. I used ArriveCan under such purpose even though I got AL under extended family exemption and landed in CA without issues
You should have responded to the email they'd used not thru webform..try to send your answer to that email and explain that you respionded thru webform
7-point email: 24th December 2020; I did not reply back to them since I wasn't ready to travel Re-medical email: 24th December Went for medical: 24th February 2021 5th March: New email stating -
IRCC is now able to issue you an authorization letter to travel to Canada
No confirmation of the re-medical yet. No other update or email. Got the above email where they have asked me to let them know if I can travel to Canada within 60-days or not. I have 14-days to let them know.
I am, honestly, unsure of what happens if I say I am not ready to travel. It's very overwhelming to figure this all out when you are worried about your living situation, job prospects and expenses there.
Anyways, sharing this here in-case it's helpful/informative/relevant to anyone else.
As far as I understand (I've been waiting for more than one year now), there is no "process" to apply for an authorization letter. People have burnt the midnight oil calling offices, writing hundreds of emails. Some got lucky, some are still waiting
So, CIC News has finally put an article on the front page of their website, highlighting the voices of COPR holders who have been abandoned by the Canadian government. Not that I'm expecting anything to change, but people should try to share this article and spread the word through social media.
