Agree but why isn't Quebec government bothered at all. There's an acute shortage of skilled workers here and those having 1+ more experience in Quebec are increasingly opting for CEC and moving out. Any other government would have taken this discriminatory approach of federal to press and sought an explanation but unfortunately this one's happy with continual harassment of prospective immigrants who chose Quebec.
I am optimistic! I think and hope all these changes will affect Québec inland applicants as well.

Hi,

You should indeed acquire a CSQ for adding up a family member and pay fees for MIFI and then you have to update some forms to add up the new member at IRCC and pay up the fees. Good Luck
Sure, we all agree on that, but how to acquire the CSQ ???

IRCC was clear about the list of the documents required, but how about MIFI ? any help on that ?

That will be terrible, if there are some other reasons REALLY cause the delay, but CIC did not notice that. They are using "covid-19" as an excuse for everything.

i send in my application in January 2019,
asked for Medical check up on July 2019
till now no new?

This government was elected with "reducing immigration" as the main point in their election manifesto. As long as they have good approval rating from the voters anti-immigration policies will not change.

We just have to adapt to this reality as we cannot get out of quebec because of the jobs and other reasons. I bet only thing that CAQ government reacting to federal government is the changes they made to attract french speaking applicants by giving additional points. Any immigration change (subsidies + tax credits) in quebec i believe will be basically to attract only those french speaking applicants back into quebec.

hi, just checking, anyone else with similar timeline or before left from the unlucky batch of 2018 last quarter ? just to get some hopes..
  1. We received your application for permanent residence on November 19, 2018.
  2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on February 26, 2019.
  3. We started processing your application on February 26, 2019.
  4. Medical results have been received.
  5. We sent you correspondence on February 26, 2020. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required. - ( This was PCC , they asked for my Spouse who is not even accompanying, and this was sent ).

I have not heard from IRCC after that, I am sure, next is medical as they might have been expired already.
I called them and they have been saying that eligibility is passed and the application is on Background check since almost 5 months now....
Dont know wheere this is leading toooo...
my last corresponds with IRCC was sometimes in July 2019, after that no mere news, is this is normal? i checked with MP, IRCC will asked us to redo the medical checkup again but no news...
where is this leading to?

Hello there.
Dumb me just realized that I sent my paper application to the PNP address instead of QSW address. Anyone been through it knows what happens to the application? Will it be returned or they redirect it to the right place?
Thanks in advance

Okay for the last time - When Quebec issues CSQ that means they selected that migrant? Right. Here we are talking about stage after that - federal. All your comments are to circumvent the discussion and project your love for Quebec government. If you read my comment again, I am just asking for the Quebec government to raise issue with federal on immigrant files which they have already chosen but they aren't. So that makes them equally responsible if not more.

One - you do know that they have raised the concern so we are seeing the movement of the files in the past few weeks.
Two - Selection of migrants changed from lottery system to point-based which proved to be much more organized than bringing in the herd.
Three - The quota system was reduced to control the thousands CSQs that were issued by the previous senseless government. If not more applications would've piled up by IRCC.
Four- Immigration Quota is raised now to meet Post-Covid employment requirements to support the economy province-wide.
Five - Any immigration policy change we can expect from this government will be in favor of the majority of voters who want to reduce the intake numbers and want most of them to speak french.
Six - Because there is an open arm welcome program in other provinces from their liberal government will not make any change here in Quebec because we keep forgetting we are in an anti-immigrant province and being an immigrant cannot expect anything to change for us overnight by few media articles and private lawyers supporting protests.

Until the People of Quebec change their views on immigration and non-french speaking people (we all well know the ground reality about racism in Quebec, it is not politically motivated or created by a few fringe groups but the general public openly do not accept common living with immigrants), we cannot expect any immigration processing speeds to change.

We do not like this? unfortunately have to wait for the next election or choose another province.

I am an inland applicant under QSWP (by PEQ). My AoR received in August 2019. Today I received a medical exam request. My question is whether it's normal to receive a medical request form only for me (principal applicant). I included my wife in my application. The online account proves it too. But only one medical form for me is mailed. As far as I know, spouse must go through a medical exam. Is it just okay to get both of us examined in a physician's office, no matter the number of forms received? Or should I contact IRCC to get additional IMM 1017 form? Thank you in advance.
could you please let me know what is this AOR?

My opinion is that you are stuck in security check. You know your background so you should know what can be the thing that triggered the delay.
