Hi all,
I need help with a question if anyone could please help. My parents did their medical and PCC in Feb 2020. Which is about to expire. Their passport also got renewed in Feb 2021. My question is should we be proactive and obtain a new PCC from India just to save time. As they might ask for re-medical and new PCC after one year of issuing?
Did they ask for a new PCC from anyone after 1 year of time?
Thanks,
Rj
the file will not be transferred based on your parents location. Once your parents arrive, you can update your parents current address via webform. Once you receive medical/passport request, those can be done in Canada even if the file is being processed outside of Canada
There are few people in the spreadsheet for NDVO that have received re-medical starting in January 2021 after 2-3 months of expiry so you are about right there.
Application Received : June 4, 2019
SA approval : Nov 2019
Biometric Done : Dec 2019
Medical Passed: Dec 2019
Additional Docs requested: Jan 2020
Medical Expired: Dec 2020
No news or update from CPC-M since Jan 2020 !
Did anyone have any luck contacting IRCC regarding application status ?

I seen somewhere on cic mention first PR cards take 3-4 months. They landed and are in Canada as well as restrictions not lifted yet. Unless new landed immigrant have something emergency to go outside. Otherwise you should wait till 3-4 months passed. Like my mom and sister just landed BEFORE new restrictions gonna come Feb 2021. I feel very thankful since they already landed compared with many applicants still stucking somewhere.
