Hi,

I also got my AOR today - could you update the tracker please. (I already had my application number since a few weeks ago by telephone).

Ecas is still:

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on August 5, 2020.

Same with me. I got AOR last week and ecs is not updated.

A (maybe dumb?) question for you experts
I am in GTA, application delivered around the end of August, AOR ard the end of November. But now I have not yet received any correspondence informing me about whether my application is "in progress" or not. I saw some of you said your application turn in progress right after your call inquiry. What will be your suggestion? Do I need to call them just in case they "forget" to look at my application? Or they will process it in the sequence?

I am certain that calling them has nothing to do with Application going in process, remember that we are just calling to discuss with call centre staff. They cannot take any action on the application.

I dont think your application is forgotten since you already got AOR, your in process will come by shortly. It all depends on the staff available to process applications in the respective centre (Mississauga or Scarborough).

Currently the # of applications > IRCC Staff available to process @ respective locations.

Looking at current trends the application should move anytime in the coming weeks.

Its the same for my application. I am still waiting for my file to be transferred to local windsor office and its already been 9 weeks since I got AOR and nothing has been updated on my file.

I applied with my two family members in Aug 2020 and the remaining family members in Sep 2020.

You can see my name in both Aug/Sep tabs in the sheet.

This status change is for Aug applicants.

Also, what is a good way to know if my local visa office is Etobicoke or Scarborough? Is there a Toronto LVO, separate from those two?

If your residence is in the west end or surrounding areas the LVO would most likely be Mississauga. If you live closer to the east end then it would be Scarborough. That being said these two centres often share work load depending on their capacity.

It wont hurt to give them a call and ask, the call centre staff should be able to see which office your file is transferred to.
