Silent reader of this forum.Just positing timeline line for my parents application.
Visa Office : CPC- Mississauga
APP DATE: June 3rd 2019
Sponsorship Approval: Nov 8th 2019
PA App in process: Nov 15th 2019
BIO metrics and Medical Request: Nov 25th 2019
Medical Pass : Dec6th 2019
PA DecisionMade : March 3rd 2020
Virtual landing : Jan 26th 2021
Parents were in Canada from last 6 months .

Congratulations. Same time line as your but parents in home country. It appears they are fast clearing parents already in Canada.

This amount equal to biometric fee of two person. You paid biometric fee when applied but your biometric was not required because one you did in past for super visa was accepted. This is my assumption.

BREAKING NEWS.
New air-travel rules coming to Canada:
-second COVID-19 test needed on arrival
-three-day mandatory hotel quarantine = ~$2,000
-if negative then 14-day quarantine completed at home
-if positive then 14-day quarantine completed in hotel
-no start date yet.

I am wondering if this rule will apply to the passengers with PR visas. They need to land, so their travel should not be categorized under "non-essential travel".

If it helps stop covid cases coming into Canada, why not? If i was to go home to NZ, I'd have to stay in mandatory quarantine (hotel) for 14 days and pay $3k. But they're living life like normal down there, parties, concerts, vacations. No masks needed.

Hi All, Just stumbled upon this and think this community is doing alot to help people out which is just awesome..

I applied for my mother (single parent) and her dependent child (sibling under 18) under PGP program in 2019 (May).. her application is still in progress but her passport expired and had to be renewed in meantime.. can someone please guide me on how to update her passport information on her application file?

you can do via webform. Attach photocopy of new passport

Why would IRCC refund me $170 for biometric?

Biometrics exemption for permanent residence applicants who have given biometrics within the last 10 years. You don't have to pay the biometric fee when you submit your application, even if the system tells you to pay it. If you paid the fee, we'll automatically refund it once we finalize your application.

Thank you for sharing your timeline. Congratulations! I have added your info to the tracker- can you provide me with this info? Parents country of citizenship? Province you are in? And when you received your AOR (Acknowledgement of receipt of application)?

It's going to apply to all. This is as much of a measure to control travel into Canada as it is to reduce the spread of COVID so it doesn't matter if your travel was essential or non-essential

Statistics confirms that travel cases account for less than 2 %, something needs to be done inside the country

Any news from CPC- Mississauga ? My application has been received May 21, 2019. Bio (October 2019) and Medical (February 2020) done. But no change since March 2020. Thanks

wow thats super long, we passed medical Dec 2020 so I guess we will have to wait for another 12 months or so based on your case. Same office.
