No. The Government of Canada treats everyone equally, whether they use a representative or not.

My representative clearly told me that he is not going to link my application with GCKEY. He clarified saying that it is impossible to check all of his clients application with GCKEY account everyday. So, he only relies upon the email notifications from IRCC.

However, I can't link as I have a representative. So, I am evaluating whether to disassociate my representative from my application or not. I am in a confused state now.

I believe you can do it yourself by creating a profile on cic. Your application feilds are basically your details not your representative. just link an application to your profile, UCI number is the best option. Ok but yuu have a option to cancel your representative if you feel this way

So yeah do it cancel your representative by filling out that form .. don’t wry your representative have responsibility for uuur Pr I don’t thibk so he will don’t let you know if there is any update

You download that form , fill up and then print it and sign it amd then upload it there . You will be able to link right after you upload this form if not next day . Your representative will not get any email for cancellation or anything. He will not come to know anything regarding your application. Don’t worry and go ahead. Everything will come to your email.

I think I will let it go for another couple of months as my family composition is going to change very soon and I can't go for upfront medical until then. I will evaluate this again after that, if I find delay with IRCC communication.

Anyways, as "Journey to Pr" mentioned - we are going to get PR someday. Thanks!

since you already had a representative, as I did, I think we should think about what are the disadvantages / negative outcomes of having a representative...

I think in your position I will not cancel representation, should you have paid him/her in full. some time they come handy should there be some appeal documents and or response to be drafted to IRCC.
