Hi Boyx,
Were you able to submit your online application ? i have been trying for last few days and it's not letting me submit my application. Basically i have tried all browsers, operating systems but still same vague error message which isn't helpful
Please help me fix my application.
No (s)he had already applied through paper and has stopped trying online. So did I.
Yup, (un)fortunately it did not end up working so I gave up trying the online application.
IRCC has taken down the link to online applications from their page. I confirmed it from the code. Although link is still directly accessible but IRCC might have stopped accepting online applications.
hi guys,
I went to the main "apply for citizenship" page on the IRCC website and after clicking around a few times the "you may be eligible to apply online" link popped up and took me to the online application page. I was able to create a username etc. currently filling it out. I hope it lets me submit!

Please let us know if you end up submitting online and what OS and browser you are using. Good luck!

I am going to try it on a mac book this weekend, if it gets submitted then that's good otherwise i will send paper application. One thing i have noticed that i have more than 8 work and experience entries, if i sign out and then sign in again into my account only 8 entries remains in there and rest just disappear, i have to add them every time i login into my account (you can imagine how frustrating it is)!
Someone mentioned here that newer version of paper based application has 8 entries for work and experience and PDF form doesn't allow more than that so you need a separate paper to enter those entries, i am wondering if online form has same limitation that only allows limited entries,
I am suspecting that this form and PDF form they all upload into the same system and they do have same limitations and follow same process.
How many work and experience entries do you have in your application? i have around 13 because after graduation i worked at multiple jobs and it is impossible to make them fit in those 8 entries if that's the case.

Good luck, keep us posted as we have been struggling to submit online application
Yeah I see the text about online application too. Thanks for sharing

I did it on my MacBook, my iPhone, my Android, my Windows & even on Ubuntu
It did not make a difference whatsoever.
Try creating a different account (although it made no difference for me - always failed to save one entry or another).
I remember reading somewhere in this thread about how the portal has a limited memory allocation & fails to save any entries (files or text) past this hypothetical limit. I remember the user eventually figured out the right amount of entries & successfully submitted their application. To give you a further hint of the right post to look for: the user applied with their wife but the wife was successful immediately. The user unfortunately was not. They eventually updated with their successful attempt and their findings. I would suggest you look for that post because it seemed to make a lot of sense - I personally realized some things which I failed to in my 10 account application spree!

Since you have mentioned ubuntu and it was my last option to try, i feel like i would rather send paper based application instead of wasting time on online application. I am already on my second account but nothing works, i have also sent a web query to IRCC and we all know it takes them at least few days just to reply to a simple question.

I had more than 8 as well (and failed submitting online). I agree with how frustrating it is to keep entering stuff. My attachments would also disappear frequently.

Regular online application
when did you submit your application? if you applied online on December 2020 for regular application, it is not possible to get AOR .

Same thing here, attachments and populated fields randomly disappear without any warning or error message.
They are really targeting some users only, here is an HTML snippet that will show the online application link to 10% of the time
HTML:
<!-- hidden alert, shows when user has cookie or 10% of the time -->
<section class="alert alert-info hidden" id="applyonline">
<h2>Find out if you can apply online</h2>
<p>We’re testing a new online citizenship application. It’s now available for <strong>some</strong> applicants.</p>
<p><a href="https://citapply-citdemande.apps.cic.gc.ca/en/landing" target="_blank">Check if you can apply online<span class="wb-inv"> (opens in a new tab)</span></a> <span aria-hidden="true" class="glyphicon glyphicon-new-window"></span></p>
</section>
For now, I'm keeping the paper application ready if I fail to submit it online.

So basically only 10% of the applicant can submit the application ?
So basically only 10% of the applicant can submit the application ?
It means that they only want 10% of the visitors to see the link. They probably don't want a lot of people applying online. I'm not sure if they are capping the actual application numbers.
