Hi Guys,

I got my DM letter issued on the 5th of Jan, according to the letter, Etobicoke office should contact me to finalize my PR application.

I logged into my account today and I noticed that the status has been changed to approved and there is a document number for my Copr (but the Copr is not uploaded into my account).

does my situation means that I will receive my copr via eportal or via mail.

Hey guys, since I received my COPR on Friday, I am in the process of renewing my RTD. Now the question is, on the application it is asking for a proof of immigration status and the only option that’s here is PR card and other options that don’t apply to me. How would I go about that given I only have copr and no PR card?

yes, cause it is separate from your pr. your pr is finished. so the card process is new and different.

I highly doubt that they will send you (AOR), I believe the only way to know if they received your mail is by calling them, and if they started the process they will be able to give you the application number > (AOR).

I believe the only way to know is if you call them and they provide you with the application number. (I don’t think they send AOR for PR Cards). Then, you will be able to check the status through ECAS. Or maybe through GCKey too.

those who mailed photos for first pr card in the past when that was the norm after COPR said they got a AOR email and could link it with application # and also sometimes when they checked ECAS it showed card status too. Remember this was from people who mailed their photos for pr card.

Do what you did the last time or wait on your pr card. You will get 2 years. You need pr card for 5 years. if you use A copr it may be refused. someone said theirs was refused because they used copr.

Once you received COPR that’s means you are PR they declare that you became PR holder of Canada and you know days towards citizenship start counting from COPR date

I know but what I’m saying is that I highly doubt that they send you AOR for PR Cards. You have to call them and get the application number to link it or check it through ECAS.
