Finally got my COPR today!, much grateful this stage is finally over. I'll update you all with my timeline, to help others in the process as well .

Any Idea how long it takes to get a new SIN?

We got COPR yesterday , We pick up our passport from CBSA today and get SIN today at Service Canada and health card from Service Ontario Today

April 2018– confirmation letter for document received

Process start- August 2020

AIP received – September 2020

Medical Instruction – October 2020

Medical received – October 2020

All related documents submitted – First week of November 2020

COPR received - January 20, 2021

Copy of all Canadian, non-Canadian ids
notice of assessment for all the years
Job letters , t4s , pay stubs
Supporting letters from friends and co-workers
Pictures of gatherings with friends and community
My son’s documents ( he is Canadian)
Lawyer’s argument on hardship and best interest of child

No , i have been working full time since i came to canada and honestly can’t afford to do volunteer job without pay when you have a family to feed

Volunteer is more Beneficial for ppl have no work permit It shows she/he is hard-working person Even though she/he’s not allowed to work in Canada

Unless they changed the policy for that too.

Specially now everything is so expensive it’s unbelievable
