I don't have the official link to substantiate here but under peq program (students + workers) the numbers are between 1000-1200 a month. Then there are also CSQ issued under other programs.
So we are talking roughly for 20000 + 3000 (PEQ+QSW) applications since July 2019. Also there were another 30000 apps before July 2019, right? So according to my speculation these 53000 apps should be cleared by 2022. What do you think about this speculation?

As advised by a lawyer to my friend that the number of files without an AOR after mid July 2019 are 30 k+ and probably all of them would get an AOR by mid this year, then there's inventory of pre July 2019 which federal would try to dispose in next few months. He says finalization of 30k+ files may extend beyond 2022. However in-between there maybe some random picks just to assuage the anxiety of masses. A few copr would raise hopes of masses at large just like XEP has done for the moment. A duration of 3-4 years from submission to finalization shouldn't be surprising.
Say, masses are puppets then.

Say, XEP letter is the new string, they pulled this time to raise false hopes of the masses then.?

Say, what an inglorious way to play with anxiety of masses then?!.o_O

I'm not a specialist but good to see here such theories from time to time to hold us onto this never-ending journey. Here's my two cents on this if they wanna process the QSW applications then it shouldn't take longer once they receive the complete application since if they can process express entry applications within few months why not QSW applications. Actually they process them in around the same time like express entry once they start processing the applications. It is the time we should count on where our applications are sitting in unopened files/boxes untouched, who knows. This simply means that either they don't value the already integrated and skilled folks here in Quebec Canada, otherwise they would have prioritized them or it's a political dilemma. But we couldn't blame anyone since the choice was ours and now we have to be patient. Good luck, everyone.
Sapiently and Astutely very well said then.

30 k+ are post mid July 2019. I don't know the number of pre July 2019. With yearly quota, I doubt clearing of all files by 2022. I wish all of them are cleared asap but quota is a spanner in the wheels of IRCC.

This is what it's.

Reality certainly breaks the dreams.
I do not like to downplay MIFI efforts. Though i do not support the quota system or cancelling 18000 applications but i think the reduction is CSQs issued since the cancellation actually would've helped us big time with processing times if only there was no VIRUS.

When I applied the processing time was 17 months. I waited 15 months to receive MR, 20 months someone to start my security check and more that 18 months CBSA to give recommendations. The same institution finalize Express entry in 6 months including the time people wait for CSQ. (6 months EE = few years CSQ + 26 plus months federal)
The funniest part is that I'm paying taxes during all this years and I don't have any rights to complain or do anything else in the country except working.
I feel extremely privileged :)

Good luck everyone!

The actual process is when your file is nearing the last 6 months, that is what the IRCC agents tell us and also what can be seen as per the timeline of people getting COPRs, they wait 18-19 months to get pre arrival letter even after getting AOR in few weeks and then from medical request to decision made to COPR happens in 2-3-4 months. So one speculation could also be that, for post (mid)july 2019 to early 2020, for AOR to COPR could be done in 6 months just like EE. For Q2(2020) and onwards the processing could be the same like 24-26 months
**Just an assumption**

You have the same assumption that I coming expressing for a couple of months. I believe that when we received the AOR we will be processed like the express entry.

Why is that from Q2 onwards it could take 24 months? Because number of applications multiply since first quarter 2020? I thought number of CDQs issued in 2020 were under control and i think 2020 applications will be less complicated to process.

Did you get any useful information after 50 days wait? of just got the "in process" reply?
Thank you
Nothing useful of course: I asked if there were any chances to become Permanent Resident before my work permit expired, again, since it was after the expected PR waiting time. They replied to proceed with renewing the work permit, but they replied after it was already expired and even renewed!
I had also sent the scan of my new passport, which they stored with the application.
I think webform is useful only if you need to send them something. Otherwise don't even bother.

And your background check is still in process or done?
I received today the GCMS Notes from IRCC, after less than 1 month from requesting it (I expected worse).
So in December, after almost 24 months since I sent the application, it was:
Eligibility: passed
Criminality: passed
Info sharing: complete:
Medical: not started
Security: not started

I hope the "Security: not started" is not really true, as I have read in this forum that somebody had "not started", but the agent said they were in progress, otherwise what a disappointment..

I think Info sharing is complete that means security has started as this is step where they share all information to relavant 3rd party to start security screening..This is my guess about info sharing and security process.
