I have looked through all the links that you provided. Quite interesting and useful material))
Recently I have recieved an answer to the webform that my application is undergoing background checks and that they will advise if further information is required.
Do you think that in this case the elibility has been met?
I have raised a web form twice, but they don't tell anything particular.

I called CIC this morning and for some reason, i was not surprised by the answer i got.. my application as been the same since Oct 15th (Bio excempt). Agent said "the good thing is we have your biometrics on file, just waiting for an officer to verify it" . I mean how hard could it be to verify biometrics thats been in the system since i am CEC inland. My husband who is dependent( outland) gave biometrics back in september and his portion of criminality is passed (based on gcms note). How easy is it to verify outland biometrics and hard to verify inland.
That been said, criminality (in progress), Security (not started).. Cic is short of staffs but they have active system that is able to send out invitations without mistake. Mhen, i dont know which is more frustrating, COVID or CIC AGENTS OTTAWA......

I understand your frustration. I am actually in the exact situation - dependent outland and waiting for Ottawa office to start screening after biometrics. I am hoping they transfer our files to another office like Sydney which can process applications normally. Please keep us posted.

@legalfalcon , My application is approved on Dec 08 2020, but I haven't received any copr or pr confirmation portal emails. I got the information about approval from the CIC agent on call. What I have to do, its been almost a month since my PR is approved but no confirmation emails. My visa office in Ottawa and my AOR is June 24 2020. Do I need to take any steps or I have to wait?

Thanks. the next step mentioned by CIC agent is getting the correspondence email(COPR) but it is not yet received. I'm waiting for almost 1 month

Medical passed: 22nd july
Biometrics completed: 2nd december
Other criteria like eligibility, background and criminality check is not yet cleared on my profile.
I called them and agent said everything is clearand positive just final decision is pending.
I don’t understand this situation. Is it normal?

You should be happy. That means you're on the verge of CoPR and there's nothing left to worry about. Check out other posts for how long it takes to go from all passed to final approval/CoPR. Can be days, can be weeks, or even more.

Maybe the assigned officer has to open the file and move it to the final stage. I know this is frustrating

Have u ordered a set of the latest notes from their system? it may give some clue.

I’ve been waiting since October 21. Not sure why it’s so hard to close a file and send the email.

When did you get the last update

I didn't get any updates on my profile and the last update on my application was on October 25th when I did the Biomterics.

I called in 3rd week of December and the agent told me as my eligibility is passed..

Latest update on my application
Got an email for the PR confirmation portal, 3 separate emails for 3 applicants.
Planning to reply back today.
I am hoping that we will get the COPR's this month.

That awesome... Which is your visa office ?? Is the 2 dependents are inland or outland ??
