Anyone applied a Student Permit from Philippines?

Hi,

We currently applying for trv for my husband, but due to border closing its taking time to process the application. I already received my student permit, is it possible to submit an open work permit while trv application is on going? Or if we received his trv, can we immediately submit owp application if he is still outside Canada? We are planning to go together by first week of February. Please advise guys. Thank you.

After 9 months of waiting, my visa got approved on Dec 1.
My timeline:

Feb. 12 - lodged paper-based application for Fall 2020 intake
March 5 - Medical passed
July - Deferred to Winter 2021 intake
Oct 20 - New LOA request
Nov 5 - BVL
Dec 1 - Visa approval

Yes. You will need to show that you have enough funds in your own bank account. At least 20,000 CAD. As for your sponsors, it's better that you show their statement of accounts too.

Hi,

It's always better if you can show that proof of funds are coming from you. It strengthens your financial profile. If not entirely possible, stick to people within your immediate family circle as your sponsor.

Congrats bro. It means that your application was approved. Login to your GCKey profile check the final decision on your profile. Sometimes, when you get PPR, it turns to "Approved". Probably, you should wait for a payment link for a two-way courier.

Also, please share your timeline. We are still get nothing and it would be really helpful.

Ok. Do you know from which office did you get PPR letter? Manila or Ottawa? The office name may be written in the PPR letter.

Together with the passport request letter was a confirmation letter regarding my biometrics validity and the address placed there was Ottawa. So it must be from Ottawa.

Hello since malapit na po yung winter semester may mga bago po bang international students na dumating na sa canada recently?
Meron na po bang may alam if pwede mag stay in a different province from your school for now since online classes pa naman yung semester?
