I have one important question to ask to the Talented helpful Champion, Hero, Star members. Please help me out. Sorry for the new thread.
My study visa date is from - 30th Oct 2020 till 30th Sep 2021 (please note the visa approved was for Sept 2020 intake)
I received deferred LOA for Jan 2021 intake after my visa approval.
The Immigration Officer asked me 1 question only.
How long is your course?
I replied - 1 year course, starts 18th Jan 21 (as per deferred LOA)
He asked me again
When your course ends?
So here I was totally confused what my reply should be.
I replied - as per Letter of acceptance it states August 2021.
So he gave me Study permit from - 1st Jan 2021 till 30th Sept 2021.
Nothing else he asked.
Should my reply have been Dec 2021 (since it is one year course)?
Your suggestions/comments are greatly appreciated.

Technically yes. Should have been Dec instead of August 2021 as you deferred to Jan intake so you cant finish course in 9 months if im not wrong. Or does it say August 2021 finish date on new LOA that you got for Jan intake?
So basically end date should be whatever is on the new Jan intake LOA..... not sure though how 1 year course will work out. Are you going to study 2 semesters straight out?

So technically visa should have been issued for extra 90 days after course finishes which in your case will be November or December. CBSA should have given you extra 90 days as per rules but not sure why he didnt.....

Depends what you want to do after your course ends. If you are going back then no issues. If want a pgwp then im not sure how will they class it or what you need to do. May be a more experienced member can comment on your situation....

Then simply file an inland extension....Should be ok i guess but how long will it take to process inland app given current situations is highly unpredictable. So in that case extra 30 days should have helped but still you will be classed under implied status till inland app is processed....
