Yes, u have to apply again for extension, and complete Medical of course which is due for first extension..

Did u specify any time frame for extension, because in my case we got it for a year with case approved update followed by medical request given 90 days for it. And after case approved we received visitor record paper in mail in 10 days.

Yes I think we gave 6 months but its already been 7 months and they have given 3 more months, so a total of 10 months.
My understanding now is that we have to do medical and then reapply for extension for visitor visa.

Can you also share if this medical is good for PGP application as well since we havent received medical request for our 18 month old (almost) PGP application?

Has anyone received any update for applications being processed in Mississauga CPC? My parents live in India but their application was sent to Mississauga for further process once I was approved as Sponsor last year. I applied for their PR on May 27, 2019 and their medical and biometrics were both completed before December 20,2019. After that there has been no further movement on their file. Looks like applications getting processed at the New Delhi Visa Office (NDVO) at around the same time are progressing much faster ! Is anyone in a similar boat especially the ones with their applications getting processed inside Canada?

My mother's PR application is under process under PGP 2019 program. My mother is going to visit Canada on Super Visa early next month. Do I need to inform this to CIC? if so, can anyone suggest me how can i do this?

Her address need to be changed, upon arrival and it can be done via ECAS (there is place to update the address).

I am in the same boat. Application was received May 27 2019 (CPC-M)... Decision made for both PA and sponsor in ECAS... BUT "in progress" in GCKEY... waiting for pre-arrival letter and passport request

Similar situation here. Mom lives in India. Application received May 29, 2019. PCC, BM, IME all done. Last correspondence was from CPC-M in Jan 2020.

Even I am sailing on same boat. Received email to confirm PA's residential address. keeping an eye on return tracking package.

Normally it takes 2-3 weeks, sometimes even 4 weeks. But I am sure it will be before holiday starts.

I saw DM for both PA and sponsorship in ecas and got PPR, but mycic (GCKEY) is still in progress. No pre-arrival letter received.

Did you get a consent form signed by your mother to apply for CAIPS? I applied and they asked for parents' consent form.

Yes, they emailed me with a link to the form. I sent it back a week ago.

From what many users reported, I would recommend taking what the CIC agent said over the phone with a grain of salt.

They are checking something, it can be social assistant it can be bankruptcy check, it could be many things.
