No, it's not automatic. IRCC transfers applications to the Etobicoke office when there are issues with the application. Typically this is around whether the relationship is genuine.

There's really no way to push or rush IRCC.

It's a very good idea to order your GCMS notes to see the details of why your application was transferred to Etobicoke.

I applied for my pgwp on 28 august 2020, and eligibility review started on 3 dec, and got email from cic on 4 dec that my file is being transferred to etobicoke for futher processing. Could anyone please help me that how long would it take ?

This system has been implemented for all the people whose application has been approved from Mississauga and can not go to Etobicoke for final pR confirmation.

In our cases where file has been transferred, we need IRCC Etobicoke officer to open our files to give us AIP & DM. I really wish they do something for everyone whose file is transferred and waiting to get some updates((

Yes we need to hear something from them shortly.. my file was also transferred in October 2020 and I haven't received any news as yet..I got SA from mississauga, so now I am waiting for AIP from etobicoke

I received a file transfer letter for further assessment email yesterday... before covid this would mean interview in person (from what I watched on forums and fb groups)
Now, I have searched and people say they are stuck at that office... some even going on 18 months with no news.... anyone recently get an email that their file was transferred to that office and can provide some guidance.... hoping to help someone else who has read these depressing posts of wait times up to 18 months....
