I hope online applications don't get priority processing and IRCC follows the same processing process that they have for paper-based citizenship applications

Yeah I am worried if they started processing online applicants on priority like what they did earlier in our FSW program then we may have to wait more. But this is really a good news for the people who will apply future. I hope soon families will be able to apply online as well.

If this is what IRCC is going to do, I will prefer to take my application back and apply online to get it processed quickly even if I have to waste $630 application fee.

Now I am confused that what should I do for my wife & daughter's (Minor) application. They will be eligible for citizenship at end of January 2021.

This reason is exactly why I am trying to apply right now, despite submitting my application in October. Guys, if you are single, ready to mingle, have an email address, are between ages of 18 to 54 etc. (i.e you meet the requirements), I suggest you apply. If you haven't received an AOR yet, this might just be your chance to get it ASAP.

Here are couple of reasons why:

• For starters, this seems to be a pilot program for a certain portion of applicants. Therefore, there is likely a special team that will be working through our applications, at least till the AOR stage. So your online application will have immediate attention.
• The pilot program seems to be running only till January for the sub-group. What this essentially means is that not only will your online application have immediate attention but will also be in a much smaller pile. If you apply sooner rather than later, then the higher on this pile you may be. Who knows, you might just get that AOR next week.

So once these reasons clicked in my head, I rushed to the photo studio to get my digital photograph. I created this thread so feel free to post there if/when you submit the application. A couple of people have already successfully submitted their applications.

The link provided in this forum seems really sketch though... I don't think it's real. It asks you to keep your info confidential and then threatens to delete your account if you don't. It's kinda weird... Plus I can't find anything about an online citizenship application directly on Canada.ca

But aren’t you concerned about having two active applications at the same time?. I’m in the same situation as you having sent my paper application a few weeks ago, but I’m hesitant to reapply online because I’m not sure if it would be detrimental in the long run.
