my PR applicant status on ecas is "in process"
when do they change it into "decision made" ?
after pre arrival or after PPR?
i have gotten pre arrival but my status is still "in preocess"
is there anyone who got direct PPR after pre arrival? do people get DM mail or what? and what is this if i get medical extension or not..thing after pre arrival?
i am really confused right now
Pre-arrival letter means that you are close to receiving PPR email, it doesn't mean that your security checks will start now, they are already done. I have seen people whose status was still In Process and they received PPR.
It is not important for the status to go to DM. Don't worry, today was remembrance day holiday in Canada and all Visa Offices were closed. You still have 2 days left in this week. InshAllah you will receive PPR soon

PAL is great news, it means you are guaranteed PPR, unless you cannot pass Security for some reason. Security is check the person for threat to national security of Canada. If the name does not generate any hits on international intelligence database (Interpol), so it will take 1-6 weeks to finish.
It only takes a long time if the search got a hit or if the person served in foreign intelligence service then it goes to Security Screening process.

you don't need to upload the passport on GCKEY if you are from India, Pakistan etc, only submit the passport to VFS
Thanks for your answer man. I spoke with the immigration consultant as well and he said you can upload it once you get the visa stamped just as a precautionary measure so the documents are readable. I asked because I see gckey asking for it (it's required)

After getting pre arrival there is no said date as to when one gets DM or PPR letter, for some its same day, others the next, and others within weeks. You will not get a notification of Decision Made status on ecas.....you'll just have to check daily or at least once a week so to not stress yourself. Normally the day you see DM status om ecas the very same day you get PPR letter - for this your husband or representative will get an email stating to check gckey.

Just be patient, its easier said than done as you can probably imagine from my timeline. Be optimistic in these trying times and insha'Allah before you know it you'll get ppr soon.
Btw background can sometimes be reviewed and passed even before prearrival so don't pay heed to other who standardize and say its always checked after prearrival.

On the PPR it says within 2 to 4 weeks.
