I have a very basic question on BOWP as the information does not seem to be clear on the website.

I am on a closed WP thru employer and have applied for PR via CEC. Instead of extending my closed WP which will expire in less than 6 months from now, I intend to apply for BOWP using my AOR, 4 months from expiry of current WP. So Can i apply for BOWP without my employer providing any letters? OR do i need to present any documentation from employer?

No need of your employer documents , you just need AOR for BOWP

No i didnt pass anything. I just applied 3 days ago for the pr and received aor. If i say NO for approved in principal question, it is not giving me option for bowp. It only gives trv. Please help me here....

All who have applied just the other day of aor, how do you guys did it? @RAMAAA91 @cpark @Mshimpi
I answered it as “Yes”. Because I asked some of my friends who applied before.

Hi, I submitted my BOWP application in November 5. I got a confirmation letter today confirming my application. But there is a date mentioned there. My current WP expires on February 26, 2021. The letter mentioned about work authorization until I get a decision or March 5, whichever is earlier. Now if the processing time exceeds 4 months (which is happening now a days) and continue beyond March 5, 2021, how can I continue working? Wasn't there any implied status?

Note: My R10 check was completed even before I applied for BOWP.

I got the same confirmation letter. My date was until a decision or March 7, I assumed it was 1 day before my daughter's passport expiry, but not completely sure if that was the rationale. I was hoping to get BOWP at least for a year :(. If I do not get a decision(either BOWP or PR (AORJune 21) before March 7, I will apply BOWP again. It so not in our control!!!

What's the doc name of the letter? Is it imm5739?

My BOWP was approved today! Coincidentally, I had my biometrics appointment today also for PR. After that info was uploaded, shortly after my BOWP was approved. Probably just a coincidence? My application date was July 12th.
