Anyone applied a Student Permit from Philippines?

I have yesterday. Regular Online Fall 2020.

Could you please share your complete timelines?

Kung pwede lang po kami magreapply gamit regular stream matagal na po namin ginawa. Kaso mga application namin is before naglockdown pa. At mas mabilis po and SDS nung hindi pa naglockdown kasi two times na po ako narefuse at within 20 days meron na. At doon sa last GCMS notes ko passport request na po kaso hindi pa iniistart ng Edmonton unlike sa regular na dito sa manila pinoprocess

Sir, wen po yong latest gcms notes nyo? Edmonton din po ba?

July 14 2020 - Passed Medical (did upfront in Feb 2020)
August 05 2020 - AIP Received in GCKEY
Sept 14 2020 - Started distance learning at Seneca College
October 21 2020 - Biometrics
October 26 2020 - Final Approval / OPR

Hi! What is the status of your application? I lodged on October 1, 2020 and received Bio Correspondence on Oct 20, 2020. No update though till date. Still waiting..

ask ko lang po if sa bank statements ok lang yung biglaang joint account? konti lang kasi laman ng bank account ko. then yung sa bank account ng mother (sponsor with affidavit of support) ko i sasali nya name ko para maging joint account.

ask ko lang po if hindi naman po yun ma ququestion ng visa officer na recently ako sinali ng mother ko sa bank nya?

yung bank account naman nya yun is matagal na existing.

need ko po kasi i joint kasi sa gcms notes ko sabi no personal funds. so i think if i jjooint account mas ok since may access sa funds.

Just want to know which is better stream to apply: Regular online or SDS?

I have noticed po kasi currently na andaming naapproved na regular online applications ( meron pang less than a month) compared to SDS application ( mangilan ngilan lang nakkita ko)

May documents are ready for SDS pero according to some sources na pupunta ng Emonton Canada Office ang application ko and strict daw po ang mga VO nag aassess ng student permit.

Please letme know your thoughts about my case. Planning to lodge on the 3rd week of November.

Based on current trend, there are a lot of approvals for those who submitted between August-October under regular stream. SDS applicants are still waiting for decision even those who submitted since February

Edmonton and Ottawa also proces PR applications. Imagine their backlogs. And also true that VOs there are stricter. So if your profile is not that strong, best route is non-SDS. Sobrang bilis ng regular online now, nakaka-inggit. I regret going for SDS.

Thank you so much. Cguro I would prefer applying for regular stream. I’veknown someone applied February 2020 for student permit under SDS. Until now no update!
