I received bil on Sept. 8 and call on Oct 8. And I live in Brampton.

Criminality is done based pn PCC and usually is passed along with the R10.

After this the eligibility starts, so yes, your criminality may be passed and eligibility not started.

Same for me as well. It's been over 2 months and they haven't started the criminality and background yet !

I did bio mid August so I thought it would be done faster because not many could provide bio at the time. Security will not start until eligibility is passed by an officer though.

Yes. They’ll update the biometrics field when they actually start your criminality.

Hi my aor is also july 9th, called ircc yesterday, i was told Eligibility,Security not started yet, is that normal eligibility not started after almost 4 months???

We are in the same boat. Same date, security not started.. sitting at CIO Sydney. Seems like normal

Criminality can be pending beach your PCC or biometrics are missing. Security will only start after the eligibility is conclusively passed.

To know if your eligibility is conclusively passed not you will have to call IRCC and specifically ask for it or see your GCMS notes. For most applicants if the security in in progress, i.e. on page 2 if it is blank, then that is an indicator that the eligibility is conclusively passed.

However, in some cases, your eligibility may be conclusively passed and the security not yet started since not all applications are sent to CBSA / CSIS for security screening. Most are, but not all.

For most security is done within 3-7 weeks. If your security is blank then it means that it is either in progress or passed. Security screening details are always redacted in the GCMS notes and you will see s15 on the top right of the page where the security is. To read on s15 see https://bit.ly/3jvbiZO

Thanks alot for replying. I've review required in notes for stat questions as I've previous visitor refusals. Are they going to start eligibility only after this is completed ?
