Hi All,
Guys, i am PR holder planning to permanently move to Canada in February 2020. I wish to sponsor my spose (Outland) for the PR :
1. How much time will it take to get the PR for my spouse ?
2. After how much time can I expect AOR for my spouse.
3. Can I plan to bring my spouse through student visa ? if so, will it have any impact on the Spousal PR application ? Will the PR only be given when the student visa expires or student visa will be replaced by PR once PR is provided ?
I know given the unprecedented times its difficult to provide definite answer, but a rough estimation will work.
Hello everyone! I am wondering about visitor visa. can I write somewhere and ask a question?(the application is in process). or to write to them with clarifications, there are no contacts?

I know given the unprecedented times its difficult to provide definite answer, but a rough estimation will work.
1. Normally it takes around 12 months but more like 18 months right now due to COVID-19 processing delays.
2. It's taking several months these days. I would plan on 4-6.
3. Yes, your spouse can apply for a study permit. No impact to the PR application. It will be more difficult to get a study permit approved for your spouse since IRCC may think your spouse is not a genuine student but is instead just looking for a way to move to Canada earlier. To increase the chances of approval, your spouse needs to pick studies in Canada that make sense in light of their previous education and work experience. Their studies in Canada should be at a higher level than they previously completed (e.g. if they previously complete a bachelor they should go for a masters in Canada). Once the PR application is approved, your spouse will become a PR.
