My AOR was on Jan 9, 2020. I got PPR on Oct 19 after a long wait! Just sent my passports yesterday! But there is no update in my CIC account on anything. I mean nothing says any check is done or anything. Is this normal?

Same happened to me but once COPR was issued everything in my account was updated. I think this is fairly normal.

Hi, we got AOR on 10th Jan 2020. And been sending web form and just got an update today saying:-

We verified the information on file and can confirm that:

• The eligibility requirements are met.
• The background verifications have not been initiated.
• The security background verification has not been initiated.
• The criminal background verification has not been initiated.

Has anyone got a reply like this? Also medical will be expiring on 20th Dec. I understand pandemic and all but still anyone in same boat as us?

Yes I have the exact same AOR as well. You can also order GCMS notes where you can see the detailed status along with case agent / officer notes.
My medical is also expiring on 9th December 2020. IRCC would ask us to do remedicals or automatically extend it.

I have the exact same status according to the web form responses since July. AOR Jan 31st VO Ottawa. I ordered GCMS notes on October 10th and I'm hoping it sheds some light on the situation. So far I hadn't seen anyone else with this status so I'm glad to see I'm not alone.

I received a ghost update yesterday. Background check section got updated to 'We are processing your background check'. However, I also received an information request mail last evening. They have asked me for 'Supplementary Information Request for Students form' along with my CV. This is surprising because I am a PR applicant and I have no plans to pursue any further studies.
@legalfalcon - would be helpful if you can guide me on this.

f you have an advanced degree in any science field, IRCC usually asks these documents and it is fairly common. You can search the forum and you will see many applicants, reporting such request.

This is used to conduct a BGC to see if your education is in a field that could potentially be dangerous to the security or your affiliations could pose a problem. However, for most this is a routine request and after they submit it, the applications is processed smoothly.
