Did anyone get the biometrics request recently who already have done biometrics for another application(not PR)?
One of my friends recently got an AOR and the CIC send a biometrics letter as well. However, they have done the biometrics already and it is also updated when they log into their account.
This notice says that the biometrics is exempted for the people who have valid biometrics.
Also, I received my AOR and in my application, the biometrics has been updated from my WP application but I have not received any separate biometrics request.
My friends already raised the web form but it may be helpful if there is anyone in this community who have the same situation and already cleared the confusion. Thank you!

With the Canadian government intention to double the immigration in the next couple of years, with this SLOW pace IRCC's PR processing time will jump from under 2 years to almost four years. During that time, applicants and family will remain in limbo should they make considerable investments in car home etc etc, dispose of assets back home, consider Canada to be their new home etc etc. Does the Federal immigration minister have any realization of the agony and pain that applicants go through of long wait times, or is merely there to make policy statements on immigration.
