I really need your help.I applied express entry on june 7 my work permit got expire on oct 18 . when i applied my express entry file i thought i dont need any extension because i m on applied status now i am out of status .I still didnt get any email regarding my PR. What should i do now ?

What should i do now ? Should i apply for work permit extension ? I got 2 year work permit because my passport was expiring on oct 18 2020 but i have new passport now . Please advice what should i do

Which work permit do you hold ? if you hold PGWP and is valid for 3 years you can extend, if it is open work permit you don’t have an option and next best option to keep working is searching for LMIA sponsors.

You can't apply for BOWP anymore because you are already out of status. You must apply to extend your PGWP/ current work permit before it expires.

You can however apply to restore your status as a worker but until then you must stop working. Other option will be to try & get an employer specific work permit.

I had no access to phone for 24 hrs and during these 24 hrs I got call fro Service Canada twice (most likely for setting up my biometric appointment).

I dont know what to do now as I missed call twice from Service canada. Does anyone know if they will call 3rd time or I need to act here and how ?

I logged into my application and saw that application updated but there wasn't any updates since Biometric updated to complete on Oct 15 when I clicked on my application. Does it count as ghost update? does anyone face the same matter?

In my opinion apply for work permit online today and hope for the best..that’s the best you can do..

I think no one knows if it was a GU. Whatever it was, I m just hoping it takes us one-step close to PR.

Hi,

Don't worry. I missed four calls from Service Canada within two days last week, but they called me a 5th time, and I finally picked it up... So you don't have to worry, they will for sure call you again, just try your best not to miss any calls from now on.

Hey you can apply for work permit again, and include that you still eligible for another 1 year wp cause earlier you got 2 year coz of passport validity. I had similar situation and got extended for another one year once my passport was renewed. Good luck
