Nope. We actually applied for her PCC a couple of months ago to have it in hand whenever they requested it - but instead of requesting it, we got a notice saying her PR was approved! Guess we wasted some time, effort and money as we had some tech issues requesting the PCC from Canada.
That might have been asked in SA letter or additional document request. However, anytime before landing has to be paid. If your parents are here better to pay now and change the address to Canadian one.
Hello All,
I applied for my mother on June-19. We got medical done in January-2020 biometrics and PCC done in February 2020. We haven’t heard back since then and the application is in process. My mother is travelling to Canada at the end of this month but my PR card has expired. Does anyone know if she will be allowed to board the plane in India?
I am sorry if I am posting in the wrong thread
Assuming that the applicants are Indian nationals, please get a certificate from Indian High Commission. They issue a certificate stating something like
Quote
Based upon entries appearing in the Passport, and other relevant information, ....
Unquote
They are able to do this because they fully understand the Indian environment.
Thank you for the suggestion. I have already submitted this certificate from the Consulate. It is called certificate of date of birth. I did that when I initially submitted the full application.. IRCC has still asked me all these documents.
I plan to submit my aadhar card and ssc certificate - and explain mother's name is not on it because at that time, mother's name was not given on these documents in India
I received docs request too and sent birth certificate along with passport details where I have mother's name and aadhar card voters ID 10th and 12th class school certificate as well
Send explanation letter that in India all these docs don't bear mother's name except birth cert and passport
Hi Everyone, my mother is in Toronto, Canada on a visitor visa and she has received a letter to submit her biometrics. The biometrics centers are not accepting appointments, please advise! I am not sure what should be the right next steps.
Here is the detail of events:
1. Acceptance letter - August 2019
2. Fingerprint biometric Req - Feb 2020
3. Medical Exam Req. - Feb 2020. Results received & submitted within few weeks.
4. Received eligibility as a sponsor letter - Feb 2020.
5. Documents submitted - PCC, CV etc. March-May 2020
6. Right now application status shows as Decision Made and application in process.
Since, May end we haven't received any intimation from the IRCC office. Is it normal?

Hi, I have the same issue. Some members replied to my query about PR card expiry and parents travel between pages 2881-2883 of this forum. You can look at suggestions there.
BUT FINALLY today the status of my sponsorship application on ECAS just changed to Decision Made!!!!
How long it takes to get the DM1 letter? Will I get the biometric, PCC, medical request at the same time?

How about the SA letter?
On my ECAS the sponsorship application details still shows "We started processing your application on July 26, 2019" nothing about the decision made. My PR application status is still "in process".
