Hahaha! I was such a fool to think of six months when I look back at my decision to apply. Anyways hope end of 2020 gives some light.

I hear you! 6 months... 1 year... 1.5 years... now almost 2 years!

I am expecting my third set of notes by the end of the month. I emailed Ottawa and did not get a reply yet. I got a web form reply though. I asked them about Eligibility, Security and Processing Office. Eligibility was Review Required and Security was Not Started since 2019. The reply came through like this:

• Your application is at the Case Processing Centre in Ottawa, Ontario, for processing.
• Your application currently meets the eligibility requirements under the immigration program for which you have applied.
• The security background verification has not been initiated.

I hope this means Eligibility is finally Met

Not to be a party popper, mine states cleared for RFV and sent over to delhi embassy in May 2019. :-/

It does not mean "eligibility passed" - so that hurdle is gone.

Yeah - waiting since Feb29th 2020. When I called, I was told that everything was passed. But no further development

Is this rule applicable for us too? I did not have to do biometrics as I had applied from India in Oct 2018 and will my spouse be expemted too? We did not receive a BIL after our medical exam passed in March 2020.

yes... but if u have done that for any kind of Canadian purposes in past 10 years... then u don't

Security – passed in July 2020

Medicals – expired (wait for further instructions)

Criminality – in progress (requested additional police certificates). Still waiting

After a long wait of 28 months, my application finally got approved today. Dates are in signature.
